I grew up in a baking family. One of my first memories is helping my grandma make her famous whole wheat bread. I’ve loved baking and cooking ever since! I made this site to share some of my favorite recipes with my friends and family.

Leavening is an ingredient used in breads, cake, muffins and other foods that helps them raise so they can be fluffy and delicious. This blog is called “The Leaven of Life” because for me making and sharing good food makes me happy; it adds “leavening” to my life and helps balance out all of the stress and negativity I encounter throughout my day. I want to make baking and cooking, things which can sometimes feel like chores, something that brings me joy.
